The collection contains two typescripts and various documents relating the history of the Atkinson and Floyd families of Camden County and Marietta (Cobb County), Georgia.

Content Description
The McAdoo Family Papers are divided into three series by format. The first series contains photocopies of the diaries of Mary Faith Floyd McAdoo and her husband William Gibbs McAdoo from the mid-nineteenth century. The second series is a collection of miscellaneous genealogical material relating to William Gibbs McAdoo. Finally, the correspondence series consists of letters from Brice Clagett to Dr. Florence Corley regarding his book projects.
