Content Description
This collection consists of four series: Photographs of the Bell Aircraft Plant in Marietta, Georgia from the 1940s; Correspondence between Tom Scott and Robert Root, 1998-1999; "The Bellringer," 1944-1945; and a Collection of oral histories with former Bell Aircraft employees carried out by Thomas A. Scott (Professor Emeritus of History, Kennesaw State University) and others from 1987-2000 that have been removed and placed within the Kennesaw State University Oral History Project. The collection also includes a 12"x18" reproduction of b&w photograph, "Georgia Dinner" Bell Aircraft, Hotel Statler, March 25, 1942. **Please note this collection does not contain any human resources or personnel records for the Bell Bomber Plant.

Conditions Governing Access
The collection is open for research. Archival materials may contain sensitive or confidential information that is protected under federal or state “right to privacy” laws. Researchers are advised that the disclosure of certain information pertaining to identifiable living individuals without the consent of those individuals may have legal cause for action if facts concerning an individual’s private life are published that would be deemed highly offensive to a reasonable person. Biographical or Historical Information
The War Department selected Marietta as the site of the new division in 1942, establishing a new chapter in economic growth for Cobb County, Georgia.
